Ericalandia

Erica counts herself lucky to have fallen into djing a sprinkling of weddings across the globe each year. She imagined when moving to New York from San Francisco, she would dj edgy fashion things, East Village Radio, warehouse parties and festivals. And she did all of that, but she also ended up on the radar of Martha Stewart Weddings Magazine being spun as a ‘cool dj who plays weddings’. After that, New York Magazine entered her into their prestigious, small editorial list of NY djs.

Erica enjoys the grounded fun of the intimate sphere of family and friends a wedding creates. Along the way she has mastered tailoring sets for couples (with different opinions of music and families of different heritage and geographic origins, a plenty). When she’s not prepping for a wedding she’s booked for things like Lightning in a Bottle, Coachella, opening for Bruno Mars, playing walk-in music for Beyonce, warming up for Miguel and curating music for her favorite fashion clients, Fenty, Nike, Adidas, Lululemon, TopShop and Converse.

Couples that seek Erica out are always endeavoring to sidestep the cheesy guy that pops out of a branded van in a bad suit, who doesn’t mix songs. Besides, lady wedding djs are Unicorns!  So, she’s a actually a unicorn. Plus she takes her job seriously. So, she’s a serious unicorn. Serendipity has it that Erica gets alined with couples who feel great music is a top priority for their wedding and want to dancedancedance all night.

Best of all Erica is a versatile tastemaker who knows the foundation for making sure everyone in the room is touched by her music selections throughout the night. She draws on her diverse experiences to create a soundscape and read a dancefloor. She loves bringing contemporary fun to the wedding format.
